Day 20 - Cracked Eggs and Noodles (South Korea)
"Dae-Gyu is a working man, living a stress free dating life until one day a young boy claiming to be his son pays him an unexpected visit. After much wavering and struggle to make his son go away, Dae-Gyu makes a compromise to go on a road trip after which he would return the boy to his mother."
A truly creative father and son story! It is comical and not really serious in the beginning but towards the end it gets quite emotional. It's not the best movie out there but its a nice one.
The ending is where the magic happens in this movie, it is the best part of the film. It's very emotional and you'll wish there is more to the story. Despite the length of the film you will think it was a short film since not a lot actually happens. The child was slightly annoying until the last half of the film and even the father grows up a little bit. It reminded me of the ending for Clannad: After Story but will less impact and even less emotional. All in all it's a good film if you like tearjerker endings. A lot of things in the film were un-necessary and even in some parts quite confusing. This is nowhere near my favorite South Korean film.
