Day 14 - Love Exposure (Japan)
"The story follows Yū Honda, a young teenage Catholic attempting to live his life in a faithful and orderly manner. His father, Tetsu, has become a devout Catholic priest following the death of Yū's mother, and operates his own church. Yū's father asks Yū to confess his sins, but Yū believes he is a good person, who has little to confess. At first he makes up sins, but his father sees right through him, and Yū sets out to commit real sins. Because of this, he falls in with a questionable crowd."
A very interesting film, it has to be since it is 3 minutes shy from being four hours long. The character development was very good and the story seem to bend together nicely. This is not a film for children there are a ton of panty shots and bloody scenes that have an almost comedic feel about them.
I really like Takahiro Nishijima's acting in this, his character is so unique he kept me interested in how the character will evolve.
3.1/5
Cast
Takahiro Nishijima as Yu Honda
