Day 286 - All About Love (Hong Kong)

"Ko (Andy Lau) is a hard working doctor who has little time to spend with his wife (Charlene Choi). When she dies in a car accident her heart is given to another woman, Tse Yuen Sam (Charlie Yeung). Ko later changes careers and becomes a paramedic. One night while on call in an ambulance, Ko attends a traffic accident involving Sam. He discovers she is the recipient of his wife's heart and that her husband Derek (also played by Lau) has left her. Ko decides to use their resemblance as a means of making amends for both his and Derek's treatment of their wives."

The story and delivery are very bad. However Andy Lau once again proves that he is a remarkable actor with his dual role in this film. I enjoyed watching Lau in this film as I do in his other films since he is one of the best actors I've ever seen. Sadly this movie was brought down by the plot and the direction of the film. Charlene Choi played the sweet wife perfectly, I actually enjoy watching her perform as well. I don't think the film was long enough nor did the direction allow for us to actual feel for the characters. Also it is quite apparent that they used a green scene at some point at the end which could have been used better.  This is not the type of film to watch for a happy ending, if you just want to see Andy Lau then watch the film.
