Day 228 - Love At Seventh Sight (Hong Kong)

Love at Seventh Sight

"sound engineer Ziqi (Mike He), who takes a sabbatical in Beijing where he meets Bai Ye (Lulu Li), a young woman who hails from screenwriter fantasy land. The lovely, gentle Bai Ye asks Ziqi - who, mind you, is a complete stranger - to accompany her on an unexpected road trip in her fully-equipped RV. Since Bai Ye has lustrous long hair and looks like a Zhou Xun knockoff, Ziqi goes along, but oddly enough he seems to admire her RV (which he calls his "dream car") far more than her." -lovehkfilm

Truly this film begins by pushing you straight into the story which isn't good since we have no clue what the story is really about since the characters just meet in the very beginning with the girl suddenly kissing the guy on the cheek. Its like watching a very bad drama movie at the beginning but it slowly gets better as the film carries on. I won't say anything else about the plot since it will ruin the movie. I enjoyed the last half of the film but I felt like this director was quite inexperienced. This film had a lot of potential that was wasted do to poor direction, cinematography but is merely acceptable thanks to the stellar two leads. If you really want to watch this movie then I suggest it to those that like dramatic romance movies.
